Stagioni
The multi-talented Lucilla Galeazzi is an emblematic figure of Italy’s thriving folk music scene. She’s been endowed with a magical, powerful voice, and her impressive eclectism has led her to work in the fields of folk, baroque and contemporary music. Furthermore, the astonishing possibilities of her voice, along with her art of improvisation, have made her much sought after by jazz musicians. Her many contributions range from Giovanna Marini’s «Quartetto Vocale» to Luciano Berio’s Folk Songs with the Umbria Chamber Orchestra, from «Il Trillo with A. Sparagna and Carlo Rizzo to «Tango, memoria di Buenos Aires» with J Cedron, JJ Mosalini etc, not to mention her collaboration with such jazzmen as Claude Barthelemy, Michel Godard, Vincent Courtois and the likes, as well as her participation in several film scores. This CD: «Stagioni» reflects her musical itinerary and presents a repertoire that follows the seasons of her life, with different voices, environments, moods and ways of writing.
