Popular and sacred songs
The Cossacks of Russia are considered as the best Russian vocal group. They are very popular and they have toured extensively in the best venues and cathedrals of France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland, as well as performed on radio and television. The ensemble, whose members hail from prestigious opera houses in Europe, comprises the finest of Russian voices. Some of them are descendants of people who emigrated during the revolution, others are of Soviet origin, so they make up a kind of reunited diaspora. These voices span three and a half octaves, from the deepest bass to cristal-clear high notes. They express the legendary tradition of the Cossacks' songs, which Feodor Chaliapine, the famous Russian soloist at the Paris opera, defined as a "phenomenon of vocal art".
The Cossacks of Russia are the soul and voice of eternal Russia.
