Mah Damba

Mah is born into the special Griot cast. She belongs to the Bambara ethnic group, the most important mandinka tongue group in Mali. Mah Damba is the daughter of Mali’s most respected djéli (griot), Djéli Baba Sissoko, one of these “bag of words” who hold secrets many hundred-years old and who keeps the keys of Malinke’s twelve doors.
