Faín y Vincent se conocen tocando en un grupo de música medieval en 1985. Además comparten su inquietud por las músicas árabes y mediterráneas. Más adelante conocen a Benjamín. Les gusta su voz, su presencia en el escenario y la poesía especial que tienen las letras que escribe.
El repertorio es un reflejo de los diferentes estilos que él viene tocando y oyendo en los últimos años: flamenco, jazz, música árabe, música medieval, música africana. Pero ahora con el cante de Benjamín.
Faín dirige, arregla y toca las cuerdas y percusiones. Benjamín canta y escribe textos. Vincent toca vientos. Así empieza Radio Tarifa.
Las grabaciones se completan en 1992 en el estudio del productor Juan Alberto Arteche, que publica el primer CD: “Rumba Argelina” en su sello “Música sin Fin” en 1993.
Colaboran también otros músicos: Javier Paxariño, Javier Ruibal, Gerardo Nuñez, etc.
Y funciona. En España, en Francia, en Alemania y en el Reino Unido, el CD “Rumba Argelina” suena en las radios.
La multinacional BMG compra los derechos en 1994.
En los siguientes once años montará diferentes bandas para directo y dirigirá las grabaciones de 3 discos más.
Radio Tarifa será nominado a varios premios de la BBC, LATIN GRAMMY, etc.
En 2004 Fain, agotado, deja las giras.
En 2006 la última banda de directos se disuelve y RADIO TARIFA cesa su actividad.
Ese año, Benjamín inicia su carrera musical en solitario, pero en 2012 muere víctima de un cáncer. En 2022, Faín y Vincent vuelven a trabajar en un nuevo CD para RADIO TARIFA: “ La Noche”.

Radio Tarifa was founded in Madrid as a result of the meeting of three musicians: Faín Sánchez Dueñas (Valladolid), Vincent Molino (Montpellier), and Benjamín Escoriza (Granada).Faín and Vincent met while playing in a medieval music group in 1985. They also shared an interest in Arabic and Mediterranean music. Later, they met Benjamín. They liked his voice, his stage presence, and the special poetry of his lyrics.
Faín conducts, arranges, and plays the strings and percussion. Benjamín sings and writes lyrics. Vincent plays wind instruments. Thus begins Radio Tarifa.
The recordings were completed in 1992 in the studio of producer Juan Alberto Arteche, who released the first CD, "Rumba Argelina," on his label "Música sin Fin" in 1993.

In 2006, the last live band disbanded, and RADIO TARIFA ceased its activities.
That year, Benjamín began his solo musical career, but died of cancer in 2012.
In 2022, Faín and Vincent returned to work on a new CD for RADIO TARIFA: "La Noche."
