Trallallero is a form of traditional polyphonic song from Genova, in Liguria (Italy) performed a cappella by men. Each squadra comprises 4 soloists and a group of bassi (basses). The soloists are the contralto, (contraeto), the tenore, (tenor), the baritono (baritone) and the chitarra vocale (vocal guitar). There are no written scores. Verses, usually in Italian, are speckled with dialect terms
