Amour Java

The musette is a typically Parisian form of music but its influences are diverse, and it is this patchwork of music that the Denécheau Jâse Musette continues to follow and promote. This is why they include musicians from the Auvergne, from Italy, from Spain and even from America. The Americans brought across the Atlantic the jose (drums), the banjo, the Boston, the one-step and also the foxtrot which, at the time, was at its height. Although Emile Vacher (1883-1969) is considered the creator of the musette style and recorded more musettes than javas between 1927 and 1938, we have named our album after one of his java titles: “Amour Java”.
