Awakening

A meeting not defined by any pre-established context between the voice of Alim Qasimov, traditional Azerbaijani singer and the serpent of the French Michel Godard, also tubist, bassist and composer. The song of Alim is like a "speaking with God" and the serpent, in perfect harmony with voice, has been the instrument that has allowed to connect Heaven and Earth in the French churches since the end of the 16th century. When the soul is wide open, music can take us to the external universe, but it also brings us to our internal universe and allows it to open. It is hopeful music for the future: would the juxtaposition of two cultures be the real avant-garde of our time?

Alim Qasimov: voice, framedrum
