14 Cheerful Pieces
Music of the world
Moshtaq was founded by Reza Ghassemi in Paris, where its original members were living, in 1988. Several Iranian artists residing in France or abroad were to join the ensemble later on. Until 1995, the year when Reza Ghassemi momentarily put an end to his musical activities in order to devote his time to literature, Moshtaq gave numerous concerts throughout Europe, the United States and the Soviet Union, with such famous singers as Mohammad Reza Shadjarian, Shahram Nazeri, Mazhar Khaleghi, Bijan Kamkar and Homa Niknam. After 15 years of absence, Moshtaq is making a fresh start with these uplifting pieces to take wing anew inspired by the great movement of Iranian people towards democracy.
