Over the last decade, while travelling Africa and the world with Tiken Jah Fakoly, JB Moundélé has decided to take his saxophone to other musical lands. This first solo album, Fanka Bi Na (‘I have strength’ in Malinke), nevertheless retains beautiful African colours and could be labelled as Mandingo jazz
